By Archbishop Charles Chaput- The Archbishop of Philadelphia gave a talk on Fides et Ratio less than a month after the grand jury report made national headlines. While not focusing entirely on the crisis in the Church, he calls it “damaging and dangerous, like a lit match in a roomful of kindling.” He says that modern society is ready to abandon Christianity, and this failure of Church leadership could be the occasion for many to do so.
