“In 2022, the National Study of Catholics priests showed that only 4% of American priests said that they were considering leaving the priesthood. That’s a relatively small proportion of the priests in the United States, but it still equates to roughly 1,300 priests—disproportionately younger priests—who are considering leaving the priesthood.”
