All Vocations are Local
Stephen P. White of Catholic University writes in The Pillar:
“Do you know what does have a massive influence on priestly vocations? Family, friends, parish priests, and prayer. Eighty-nine percent of new ordinands this year grew up in households with married parents, living together. The national average is something like 60%. Ninety-seven percent had at least one sibling and about half (48%) have three or more siblings.”
